On December 7, 2017, Professor Paul Harris, Dean of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Arts & Design of University of Dundee of UK visited SCFAI, and as the proxy of University of Dundee of UK, signed joint postgraduate education program agreement with SCFAI. Jiao Xingtao, Vice President of SCFAI and leaders of the School of Design and Office of International Cooperation and Exchange attended the ceremony.

At the meeting, Vice President Jiao Xingtao extended warm welcome to Paul and his delegation. He described the current joint education program as a great leap forward in the external exchange of SCFAI and therefore SCFAI expected much of it. The difference between Chinese and British education makes it difficult to implement this program. But it is this difference that brings the idea and need for cooperation.

Paul expressed his trust in cooperation with SCFAI. He sincerely praised the teaching level and campus environment of SCFAI, and suggested sending technical staff to SCFAI to receive targeted training and conducting student exchange programs and faculty and student exchange exhibitions in an attempt to raise the international profile of both sides.

Witnessed by those who were present, Jiao Xingtao and Paul, as representatives of both sides, signed the Joint Postgraduate Education Program Agreement. Both parties expressed again the expectation, determination and confidence in deepening international cooperation in education.

After the meeting, accompanied by staff of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Paul and associates visited the campus and many exhibitions. They had warm exchanges with faculty and students of the China-UK joint postgraduate experimental class, learning about the innovative practice and education achievements of our institute in various fields.
